Dry Fire Practice Routine

Training Time: 15-20 Minutes

Equipment Needed: Unloaded Firearm

Two Empty Magazines or One Speed Loader

Dummy Rounds

This drill is designed to focus on the fundamentals of marksmanship and firearm manipulation. Make sure your firearm is unloaded by visually and physically inspecting your firearm and magazines. There should be absolutely no ammunition in the same area that you are utilizing during this training. This training can be completed indoors or outdoors. It is recommended that you use the equipment that you carry and in the location you carry it to complete the drills.

Fundamentals of Marksmanship

  • Trigger Press (25 total)

  • 15 Both Hands

  • 5 Strong Hand Only

  • 5 Support Hand Only

  • Trigger Reset (20 total)

  • 10 Both Hands

  • 5 Strong Hand Only

  • 5 Support Hand Only

  • Drawing From the Holster, Trigger Press and Trigger Reset (15 total)

  • 5 Both Hands

  • 5 Strong Hand Only

  • 5 Support Hand Only

Firearm Manipulation

  • 10 Combat Reload

  • 10 Tactical Reload

  • 5 Tap, Rack, Reassess

  • 5 Double Feed Clearance
